Calling all history (and kayak) lovers!
Celebrate Virginia State Park's 88th anniversary with us on a guided kayaking tour! Six state parks opened the same day on June 15, 1936, beginning the Virginia State Parks system. During the tour, you'll get to hear that story, along with the history of the region and of our park.
The float will be approximately 2 miles long. You must be at least 10 years old to participate. This float is not recommended for people with mobility impairments as the shoreline for getting in and out of the kayaks is rocky and uneven.
Weather forecasts and river levels can affect this program. Please provide a cell phone number and email address when registering for the event, so that we can contact you in the event of cancellation.
There is limited space available, so don't wait to make your reservation!
