First Landing State Park invites you to participate in a Chesapeake Bay tradition by volunteering in Clean the Bay Day, an annual event organized by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to promote and protect the health of our Bay watershed.  Volunteers are invited to help collect litter along our shorelines and to collect data to help the Foundation promote environmental stewardship of our waterways.  Registration will open soon for two cleanup sites: Chesapeake Bay Beach and Narrows Beach.

National Trails Day provides an opportunity for all outdoor enthusiasts to venture out onto their favorite trails for exercise and entertainment.

Travel through time during the 2024 Virginia State Parks History and Culture celebration at First Landing State Park.  Check out a replica artifact touch table, participate in games inspired by the indigenous cultures of Virginia Tribal Nations, and attend guided hikes all to do with the history of the park, CCC, and Cape Henry region.
