Hiring Range: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Twin Lakes State Park is accepting applications for the Maintenance Ranger position! We are seeking self-motivated and dependable individuals to perform recurring grounds care, maintenance, light construction, and cleaning tasks necessary to operate Virginia State Park facilities. Duties include cleaning bathhouses, mowing grass, raking/removing leaf litter, cleaning campsites/bunkhouse, and cutting/splitting firewood for merchandise sales. Other tasks include bathroom cleaning rounds, trash removal, litter clean up, vehicle and equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Special Requirements:
Wage/seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits and are limited to 1500 hours from May 1 to April 30. Employment in all positions within the Virginia State Parks is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check including a criminal history record check. For all positions, experience is preferred but not necessary. We provide on the job training. Employees may be required to perform other park related duties during emergencies, or on a non-recurrent basis.
A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
