THE DIVISION
DCR’s Soil and Water Conservation staff administers nonpoint source pollution control programs required by state law. They include nutrient management, agricultural best management practices, resource management planning, shoreline erosion advice, and the administrative, technical, and financial support of Virginia’s 47 soil and water conservation districts.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Eastern Area Manager oversees the Division’s Suffolk, Tappahannock, and Warrenton Regional Offices and their staff, including Nutrient Management Planners, Conservation District Coordinators, and staff of the Shoreline Erosion Advisory Service. The Eastern Area Manager is responsible for all personnel and performance management of staff, management and administration of the eastern regional offices and associated vehicles and equipment, oversight of core conservation program delivery, Eastern Area budget management and administration, and is a key member of the Division’s Leadership Team.
