Hiring Range: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour
Bear Creek Lake State Park is accepting applications for the Food Service Ranger position. Duties include preparing/serving food, washing dishes, and keeping the kitchen area and equipment clean and operable. This position will also perform upkeep of the concession exterior to include sweeping the deck, cleaning tables, and removing trash and litter. The Food Service Ranger will be responsible for renting boats, maintaining the boat rental log, and ensuring the highest possible level of customer service is maintained at all times.

Wage/seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits and are limited to 1500 hours from May 1 to April 30. Employer participates in E-Verify. Position requires standing, bending and working in a hot, fast-paced environment. Must be available to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Memorial Day, July Fourth, and Labor Day are mandatory workdays.
Employment in all positions within the Virginia State Parks is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check including a criminal history record check.
A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
