Regulatory Updates

This section of the website is intended to provide information for the public regarding DCR's and its board's regulatory actions and related policy initiatives and studies. Use these pages to track progress made by regulatory advisory panels, which are developing regulations, and to download associated supporting documents. Several current regulatory actions include the following:

Resource Management Plans Regulation: Resource Management Plans Regulation: The Resource Management Plans regulation was initially adopted by the Virginia Soil and Water Conservation Board with an effective date of Dec. 6, 2013, as published in 29:18 VA.R. 2198-2207 (PDF) on May 6, 2013. On Nov. 21, 2013, the board suspended the effective date, and notice of the suspension was published in 30:7 VA.R. 814-815 (PDF) on Dec. 2, 2013. At its meeting on April 4, 2014, the board rescinded the suspension of these regulations and re-adopted the final regulation (4VAC50-70) without amendment (see 30:18 VA.R. 2313 (PDF) on May 5, 2014). The board established a new effective date of July 1, 2014.
