Are you interested in experiencing the solar eclipse that will occur on April 8th? This is a total solar eclipse for many in our country; however, in our region, we can expect about 85% coverage of the sun. Bring your blankets and chairs to make this an enjoyable community event. A ranger will be available to share some of the science behind this unique occurrence. Eclipse sunglasses will be available for $1 per pair. A ranger will also demonstrate the pinhole method for indirect viewing. You don’t want to miss this, since the next total solar eclipse in the United States will occur in 2044!
