prices are listed below. Food and beverages are sold, and adult beverages are

Location and directions: The park is in Chesterfield County. From I-95, take Exit 61 and go west on Route 10 to Route 655 which is Beach Road; or take Exit 67, go north on Route 150 to Route 10; go east to Beach Road. The park is four miles on right; or take Route 288 from I-95 to Route 10 East and go one mile to Beach Road. Follow park signs from there. Click here for a Google Map.

Classical Melodies
5/30/2008. Join us for a mix of timeless classics and contemporary arrangements
as the park kicks off its annual summer series, Pocahontas Premieres, with
the Richmond Symphony. There's a $4 per vehicle parking fee but otherwise it’s
free. The even is sponsored by the Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation
Department. 7 p.m.-7:50 p.m.
Celebrate Summer
6/7/2008. Summer is just about here. Join us for an evening of energetic,
boogie-woogie dance tunes as the Fort Lee Army Jazz Band performs their
repertory of “Big Band” music. There's a $5 per vehicle parking
fee but otherwise it’s FREE. It's sponsored by DCR's Virginia State
Parks.
Reggae Sounds
6/14/2008. We be jammmin'! Let your worries go and allow Jamaican Reggae performed
by Virginia Beach-based band Ever-G and the Crew, along with the Tunji Band
from Petersburg, drum up some fun. Premieres concert season tickets are
$30 per person, advance tickets are $7 per person, day-of-show tickets are
$10 per person plus $5 parking fee. Children 12 and under are free. Food
and beverages are available. 6-9 p.m.
Booggie n' Blues
6/28/2008. Bring the family to chill out on the hill and listen to the Mattie
Phifer Band. Mattie belts, blows and bends the blues with her vocals, harmonica
and guitar. With the feisty, saucy and soulful music of the Dirty Truth,
you’ll hear these Richmond bands stir up roadhouse rhythms. Premieres
concert season tickets are $30 per person, advance tickets are $7 per person,
day-of-show tickets are $10 per person plus $5 parking fee. Children 12
and under are free. Food and beverages are available. 6-9 p.m.
A Night of Jazz
7/12/2008. Expect an evening full of mystery and surprise with the Thompson
D’earth Band. This Charlottesville-based septet is co-led by trumpeter
John D’earth and his vocalist wife Dawn Thompson. The band appeals
to hardcore jazz aficionados and the jam band crowd. Opening act TBA. Premieres
concert season tickets are $30 per person, advance tickets are $7 per person,
day-of-show tickets are $10 per person plus $5 parking fee. Children 12
and under are free. Food and beverages are available. 6-9 p.m.
Beach Music
7/26/2008. Cowabunga - surfs up! Put on a Pendleton shirt, grab a pair of
sandals and shag on the hill with the Craig Woolard Band, all the way from
North Carolina, one of the most beloved beach music bands. To get the party
started, you’ll hear one of Virginia’s best.. the Overtime Band.
Premieres concert season tickets are $30 per person, advance tickets are
$7 per person, day-of-show tickets are $10 per person plus $5 parking fee.

Rockin' Country
8/9/2008. Get ready to kick up your heels and stomp your feet to the Atkinsons,
a rockin’ Americana band from Richmond. The band is rooted in rock,
and touched by country and rich harmonies. Also performing is Blue Line
Highway, which is another well-known Richmond band with original folk-rock
Americana. Premieres concert season tickets are $30 per person, advance
tickets are $7 per person, day-of-show tickets are $10 per person plus $5
parking fee. Children 12 and under are free. Food and beverages are available.

Page Wilson's Out o' the Blue Stage Revue
8/23/2008. Come on back to the swamp with Page Wilson with Reckless Abandon
and special guests. Reckless Abandon is a unique, creative ensemble that
takes a distinct approach rooted in the blues, folk, bluegrass and country
traditions of their native Virginia soil. It's not just the band's name;
it also describes their approach to music. Advance tickets $7 per person,
day-of-show tickets are $10 per person plus a $5 parking fee. Children 12
and under free. Food and beverages available. 6-9 p.m.
Pocahontas Premieres: Fall into Autumn
9/6/2008. Bid farewell to summer with a late afternoon performance
by the Fort Lee Army Concert band. There's a $5 per vehicle parking fee but
otherwise it’s free. It's sponsored by DCR's Virginia State Parks. 5-7
