SITE DESCRIPTION:
Camp Branch Wetlands Natural Area Preserve is protected through the close cooperation of the private landowners,
Virginia Outdoors Foundation, New River Land Trust, and DCR. This preserve protects wetlands and headwater streams which enhance water quality and
provide habitat to native species such as the imperiled Appalachian snaketail dragonfly. This preserve was protected with funding from the USDA
Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program, Virginia Public Building Authority Bond, Virginia Land Conservation Foundation, and the Department of Wildlife Resources.
VISITATION:
The preserve has no public access facilities and may be periodically closed for resource protection and management activities . Guided visits may be arranged by contacting DCR.
