Southern Appalachian Acidic Cove Forest – CEGL007543

Mature and diverse acidic cove forest along Crab Orchard Creek, on south flank of Brushy Mountain in Bland County.  This stand is unusual in having little or no great rhododendron over sizeable areas.  Eastern Divide Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
