Southern Appalachian Grassy Bald – CEGL004242

A colony of somewhat dwarfed plants of the state- and globally rare lance-leaf goldenrod (Solidago lancifolia) on a rocky slope of the Whitetop bald near Buzzard Rock.  Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
