Cabin plans for Twin Lakes State Park to be discussed Nov. 20
RICHMOND — A public meeting to discuss development of a cabin complex at Twin Lakes State Park will be at 6 p.m., Nov. 20, in the park’s conference center.
The park’s master plan is being amended to include construction of a cabin complex. To accommodate the complex, a proposed 50-bedroom lodge and existing group camp will be removed from the plan. A new group camp will be built elsewhere in the park.
Each state park has a master plan that guides development. Amending a plan is a public process, and public meetings are held when major changes are considered.
The park is located at 788 Twin Lakes Road, Green Bay, Va.
Virginia’s state parks are managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
