Owl Pellet Dissection

Location of Seven Bends State Park in Virginia

Where

Seven Bends State Park, 2111 South Hollingsworth Road, Woodstock, VA 22664.
Lupton Access - Barn - 1191 Lupton Rd.

When

Nov. 5, 2024. 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Owls' unique need to produce pellets is one of the characteristics that makes them so fascinating. Pellets are regurgitated balls of hair and bones that are unable to be digested by the owl. Is there a creepier, more fun hands-on activity for spooky season than finding out what owls eat? Pellets have been sanitized and gloves will be provided to all participants. Please register the with the number of pellets your group would like. Although this program is free, each vehicle must display a valid annual or daily park pass while on park property.

Please let us know you can make it by registering here.

*Parks are for everyone. To ensure an enjoyable time, please alert park staff to any necessary special accommodations you or your group may need.
