Want to experience the New River Trail State Park in a way few people get a chance to? Join us for a van tour. Rangers will take you on a ride where some of the major flooding occurred on the South end, where on-going repairs and maintenance have the area shut down. Get an inside look into the on-going relief efforts.

The ride will run from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and will meet at the Cliffview Access Parking Area. The tour will follow the trail that was once the rail line of Norfolk and Western. There will be stops along the way for restroom use and lunch. Lunch will not be provided; plan to pack all of your food, drink, and dietary needs, or have the option to get food at a local restaurant.

Pre-registration will be required since seating is limited to 12. Pets will not be allowed on the tour. The program fee is $15 per participant, and visitors can call 276-699-6778 to register. This program is entirely weather dependent. If the trail conditions aren't favorable, then the rides will be cancelled; you will be notified.
