In accordance with the Code of Virginia, the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation is preparing a master plan for High Bridge Trail State Park. The purpose of a master plan is to guide the management and development of a park by identifying natural, cultural and physical resources, as well as identifying park needs and engaging with the public.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation hosted a public information meeting on October 21, 2024. The meeting took place at 6 p.m. at in the Town Council Meeting Room, Town of Farmville, 116 North Main Street, Farmville, Virginia 23901
This meeting introduced the master planning process, existing resources and information on public outreach and engagement opportunities.

We are asking park visitors to provide input regarding preferred activities and needs for future facilities at the park as part of the High Bridge Trail State Park Master Plan update. Please use the link below to access the Your Comments Count survey, verify that you are over eighteen (18) years of age, and select “High Bridge Trail” as the state park for which you would like to provide comments. Your input is needed to ensure that the Master Plan recommendations align with the needs and expectations of park visitors.
