Fish scales are shiny to reflect light and act as camouflage. With the many species of fish living in Hungry Mother's lake, they certainly need it.

It is a little difficult to see their unique scales and body shapes while their swimming, but the interpreters have a fun way to bring the fish to you and make a fun craft to take home.
