Your plate does more than look great; it makes a difference. $15 from each plate purchased goes toward accessibility and visitor experience projects, and in 2024, this money was used to help fund the purchase of six all-terrain wheelchairs. These specialized wheelchairs provide individuals with mobility impairments the opportunity to access outdoor recreation areas that might otherwise be inaccessible.
Virginia State Park license plate owners will receive free parking on Earth Day, Arbor Day, Kids to Parks Day, Virginia State Parks Anniversary Day (June 15), Veterans Day and Opt-Outside Day as well as special discounts and offers throughout the year.
