Join Northern Neck Master Naturalists, Girl Scout Troop 1189 and Belle Isle rangers for Girl Scouts Love State Parks "Pollinator Power" weekend. You can join us for the day or choose you favorite activities. 

Friday from 5 - 6:30 p.m. our Master Naturalist volunteers will host a program about Night Pollinators.

At 8 p.m. join us at the Campfire with storyteller and environmental educator Lesley Newman followed by Discovering the Nighttime World of Moths program.

Saturday from 9:30 - Noon visit the Monarch, Bee Buffet, Jewels of the Night (Firefly), and Butterfly Identification stations.

Starting at 1:00 p.m. Belle Isle rangers will host the Trick Your Stick program where you can get creative and decorate your own hiking stick ($2 per stick) followed by a short hike along the Mulberry Creek Trail Boardwalk to test it out.

Then join Master Naturalists again at 3 p.m. for a Butterfly Safari and count. Bring your phone to capture photos of the butterflies, please wear close-toed shoes. Bug spray and sunscreen recommended. Registration is recommended for this event. For more information, please contact the Camp Store or Visitor Center.
