Studies show that girls today are not spending nearly enough time outdoors, and it looks like the Girl Scouts are on track to break that trend. Join us for a weekend of fun that will empower your girls and make lifetime memories. Programs are designed to help you start or complete a badge and additional time outside of the park may be needed to meet badge requirements. Badges are not provided by park staff. Space is limited, so reservations are required and can be made by emailing Rebecca.Whalen@dcr.virginia.gov.

Saturday, September 10th

10-11 a.m.: Eco Learner - Learn three ways to protect the environment. (complete all steps)

1-3 p.m.: Hiker - Know how to hit the trail for a hike. (complete steps 1,2,3,5. Step 4 will need to be completed before your visit)

7-9 p.m.: Night Owl - Uncover the mysteries of the world after dark. (designed to complete steps 1-4)

Sunday, September 11th

9 a.m.-12 p.m.: Archery - Take aim outdoors. (designed to complete steps 1-4, participants must be ages 8 and up. $6/participant.)

2-4 p.m.: Geocacher - Search for hidden treasures. (complete steps 1,2,4. Step 3 can be done beforehand.)
