Wriggling Worms

Location of Hungry Mother State Park in Virginia

Where

Hungry Mother State Park, 2854 Park Blvd., Marion, VA 24354.
Raider's Run Trailhead

When

Aug. 15, 2022. 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Earthworms are not native to the United States; they were brought over by the Jamestown settlers.

We see earthworms all the time, but what are they doing? Let's find out why they wiggle in the dirt and why they are there. We'll read a short story about worms and then see if we can dig some up to observe them hard at work turning the dirt.

Wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty.
