Ever wonder how scientists study bats? Join Mark Ford, Associate Professor from Virginia Tech's Wildlife Division as he researches bats by using mist nets. Find out what species of bats are in the area and what we can do to help these fascinating mammals.

This is a very weather dependent program. This program will be done in a little bit different format as it is an actual research project so guests can have the opportunity to be spectators and questions will be answered as they are presented.

Bats will be shown at a distance of at least 6 feet due to Covid protocols on handling bats.
