Get an activity pack through your council which will allow free entry to the park to do self-guided activities to earn Daisy Outdoor Art Maker, Brownie Outdoor Art Creator, or Junior Outdoor Art Explorer badges.

To assist Girl Scouts to achieve recognition for their journeys, two free programs will be offered on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Advance registration for these two activities only is required. Please contact bcguide@dcr.virginia.gov or leave a name and call-back number at 804-492-5919.

At 10 a.m. a ranger-led hike will cover all the steps to be a Brownie Hiker and Brownie Outdoor Adventurer. This activity will last approximately 2.5 hours. Scouts should bring water bottles, a snack, and wear footwear that covers the toes. A maximum of 12 slots are available.

At 2 p.m., Cadette Archery will be offered by a certified instructor. The session for youth ages 9 to 13 will cover all requirements to attain an archery badge. A maximum of twelve slots are available. All equipment is provided. Water and restrooms are not available at the range. The session will last between 60 and 90 minutes.

Bear Creek Lake State Park does not provide GSA patches or badges.
