Welcome to our rejuvenating Wellness Week in nature, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the soothing embrace of the natural world. This transformative experience is designed to nourish your mind, body, and soul, allowing you to reconnect with yourself and find inner balance amidst the tranquil beauty of the outdoors.
Longwood University health promotion major, Chris will take you on a guided canoe paddle to explore the deeper parts of who we are. We will compare and contrast the surface of the water, calm versus choppy, and how it can be so easy for us to become lost within the stress of day-to-day life.
This program is for beginners and experienced paddlers alike; prior canoeing experience is not required. This activity is NOT suitable for children under 5 years old. Those aged 5-15 MUST be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $5 per participant on top of the $7 per vehicle parking fee. Space is limited, so you MUST register by 4 p.m. on Monday, July 17, at the Discovery Center.
Parks are for everyone. To ensure an enjoyable time, please alert park staff to any necessary special accommodations you or your group may need.
