For centuries humans have created myths and legends about the salamander, even giving them a name that means "lives in fire." With over 50 different species, Virginia is a wonderful place to investigate the secretive and fascinating world of salamanders. Meet at the Stock Creek Recreational Area. Please wear closed-toe shoes and expect to get wet.
