When

Feb. 2, 2024. 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Wetlands are areas that are saturated or flooded with water either permanently or seasonally. They are an important component of a healthy global aquatic ecosystem. Bear Creek Lake has a wetland area that helps maintain its water quality and species diversity.

An hour-long ranger-led walk will be held twice this weekend and starts at the Lakeside Snack Bar deck. The route, over moderate terrain with some inclines, will look at the features of our wetland area and explain how it came to be.

The Lakeside Snack Bar itself is closed until May 25, 2024.
