Forest Trails are not just for bikers. Hike with a park ranger down these wide gravel trails, to see parts of the park less traveled. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. These hikes will be around one or two miles in length.

6/7-Dance: Dance Forest Trail is a quiet trail that provides insight into the families that sold this land to the NPS to make Pocahontas State Park. Meet at Dance Parking Lot.

6/14-Powerline: Swift Creek Dam is highly photographed, but rarely hiked. Marvel at its might and learn about what it took to create this park. Meet at Powerline Forest Trail Parking Lot.

6/21-Lush: Off of Woodpecker Road, this loop brings you to the historically segregated group camping area heavily utilized by church groups and Girl Scouts. Meet at Lush Forest Trail Parking Lot.

6/28-Crostic: Filled with wildlife fleeing the nearby mountain biking trails, Crostic Trail connects with Old Mill to provide a resting place for history and nature. Meet at Visitor Center.
