Picnic Area

When

July 18, 2024. 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

This week's Junior Rangers theme is Animals and their Habitats. We will be investigating the local habitats of the Picnic Area, hiking for signs of animals, making animal tracks and playing animal games.

Outdoor and weather appropriate clothing must be worn as we will be exploring the park; getting dirty and wet are both strong possibilities! Closed-toed shoes are required every day. Please don't forget to bring a snack and a reusable water bottle, as well as apply sunscreen and bug spray before the program begins.

Pre-registration and payment are required in advance. You can register by calling the Park Office during work hours. If you are registering more than one child, please reserve the appropriate number of spots. Payment can also be completed over the phone or in-person by stopping by at the Park Office.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early as we will need the parent/guardian to fill out an emergency contact form for their child. An adult listed on the emergency contact form must sign the child in/out, and a valid photo ID must be presented.

If you are camping, feel free to drop your kid off for an adult only day while the Park Rangers hang out with the kids.
