Now held on Sunday afternoons, the Lunch on the Lawn series is back!

Bring your lunch and join us underneath the beautiful shade trees in the Victorian Garden while we enjoy the music of the Hillbilly Hippies

The Hillbilly Hippies are a mountain music string band that is very proud of their Appalachian roots. They perform a wide variety of music and have performed at several local venues in the area. Members include Dawn Bays on fiddle, Mary Lou Carter on banjo, Larry Mullins on guitar, Les Bailey on bass and Joey O’Quinn on banjo. The Hillbilly Hippies have a wonderful way of mixing old-time tunes, 70’s soft rock, country ballads, bluegrass standards and folk songs into a unique show.

Also, this year, park staff and volunteers will have crafts and activities for children at each Lunch on the Lawn program. So, bring the whole family out and have some fun!

The “Lunch on the Lawn” event is free and open to the public.
