When

Sept. 14, 2024. 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate National Girl Scouts Love State Parks Day at Twin Lakes State Park by learning archery basics, an activity that has been practiced on the land that is now the park for thousands of years. At the program, a ranger will go over the basics of target archery, including safety practices and shooting techniques.

To prevent serious injury, this activity is not suitable for children under the age of 10. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes, no exceptions. The cost is $5 per person. Guests must register at the Discovery Center by 5 p.m. the day prior. Space is limited, so spots are reserved on a first come, first served basis.

Parks are for everyone. To ensure an enjoyable time, please alert park staff to any necessary special accommodations you or your group may need by texting or calling 434-394-0767.
