July 28, 2024. 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Butterflies are self-propelled flowers - Robert A. Heinlein.  Virginia Master Naturalist Anne Ellis will lead us on a leisurely walk along “Butterfly Alley”.  This will be a slow walk appropriate for families. If you are planning to participate in Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s annual butterfly count on August 3 this will be a great time to brush up on your identification skills. We will meet at the parking lot at the end of Sawmill Road. Please be careful as there are two 90 degree turns on this road. Look for the designated parking area for cars. Do not park on the gravel section, that is reserved for horse trailers.   Please be prepared with sturdy shoes, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and water.   Rain cancels.  Registration is required and can be done through the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy website Butterfly walk July 28 registration
