Learn about the history of Westmoreland State Park and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) as you walk to Rock Springs Pond accompanied by a ranger. There will be multiple stops along the way to learn about existing infrastructure built by the CCC. 

During the Great Depression members of the Civilian Conservation Corps worked to restore the land and build parks across the country. The boys of the CCC built the original six Virginia State Parks including Westmoreland. Learn about what life was like for the boys that were apart of the CCC.
