Get involved in the Coastal Resilience Master Plan

Participate in the public comment period

A draft of the Coastal Resilience Master Plan, Phase II (CRMP) will be released for a 30-day public comment period in Summer of 2026. To provide comment, please visit Virginia Town Hall.

The final CRMP will be released in the Fall of 2026 following the review and consideration of public comments.

Attend a webinar

During the public comment period, DCR will host a public webinar. The sessions will offer valuable insights into the Master Plan’s findings for promoting flood resilience across coastal Virginia. In this webinar, attendees will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the master plan’s purpose and goals, as well as the findings and outcomes.
  • Hear directly from DCR and its consultants about strategies for building a flood-resilient future.
  • Participate in a Q&A session to ask questions about the plan

The public webinar will be posted on the DCR Dam Safety and Floodplain Management Calendar. To receive updates about the public webinar, sign up for the quarterly newsletter at the link below.
