Hiring Rate: $13.00 per hour
Job Duties:
This position provides information regarding state park services and other local attractions, primarily providing coverage at the park Contact Station and Visitor Center collecting fees and registering campers and cabin guests. The incumbent will be required to operate a computer, cash register, laminator, handheld radio, and multi-line phone system. This position will provide accurate and detailed information on the park's fees, directions, pricing, annual passes, trail information, park interpretive programs, and local area information; perform clerical duties such as answering telephones, copying, and other duties as assigned; ensure area is well-stocked and maintained on a daily basis; maintain accurate and neat filing and storage; perform daily cleaning of Contact Station, office area, restroom, and sales areas; and keep sales areas well-stocked.

Experience is not required, but is preferred. We provide on the job training. Weekends and holiday work is routinely required. Employees may be required to perform other park related duties during emergencies, or on a non-recurrent basis. Seasonal summer jobs can be an outstanding first step toward a lasting career with the park service.
Wage/seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits and are limited to 1,500 hours from May 1 to April 30.
A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
