Pocahontas State Park is accepting applications for the Cashier Ranger position!
We are seeking self-motivated and outgoing individuals to provide optimal customer service with a friendly, professional, and courteous attitude. The Cashier Ranger operates cash registers/point of sale and collects funds through sales of entrance fees, merchandise, concessions, and/or rental fees; provides accurate and detailed information about park services, amenities, programs, trails, and points of interests; answers phones and radio communications; keeps the sales area clean and well organized; assists with stocking and weekly inventory; and performs other duties as assigned.
Positions available in multiple locations as assigned including boat rentals, camp store, ticket booth, and snack bar.

Must attend mandatory paid training. Must be able to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions requiring frequent walking, bending, standing, and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
This position will work various shifts of up to 8 hours a day including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Wage/seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits and are limited to 1500 hours from May 1 to April 30.
A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
