DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless stated otherwise, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the job announcement's close date.
Generally applications must be made through the RMS (electronic state application). We will, however, accept paper applications for some state park slots. Be sure to refer to the individual recruitment for specific requirements.
Certain positions require a criminal background check, a conflict of interest financial statement or both. Law-enforcement positions require a fingerprint-based FBI investigation. DCR is an EEO/AA/ADA Employer.

New River Trail State Park is accepting applications for Livery Ranger positions.
Job Summary:
This position involves working with the public by providing boat and bike rental and livery services at New River Trail State Park. The primary duties of this position include loading/unloading equipment, fitting canoes, kayaks, PFD’s, paddles, bikes, and tubes. The position also provides shuttle services to the public, which includes driving a 15-passenger van with an attached trailer. When not providing these services, the position will be responsible for cleaning and upkeep of rental equipment and vehicles. The candidate will also train in cash handling and retail services, provide other camp store services, and maintain the area around the camp store. The candidate may be assigned other duties as required in the park.
