James River State Park to host summer festival Saturday, July 21
RICHMOND, VA - James River State Park, in Buckingham County, will host a summer festival featuring a canoe and kayak race Saturday, July 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Other activities include bateau rides, a kids fishing derby, food, music, a bounce house, a duck race, artisans, exhibitions, water-gun competitions, contests with prizes and more.
General admission is free, but the normal $3 parking fee applies. Some activities have an additional entry fee or charge.
The day is sponsored by Friends of James River State Park and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fishery K-9 Unit.
The summer festival will be canceled in the event of rain.
