Join the Earth Day global movement April 22 in a Virginia State Park
More than 1 billion people in 192 countries participate in Earth Day activities. April 22 you can join the effort during one of dozens of programs and events in Virginia State Parks.
Volunteers can plant trees, maintain pollinator gardens, remove invasive species, clean up shorelines and trails, or make crafts out of recycled materials.
Click here [http://bit.ly/VSPEarthDay2018] for a schedule of programs and events by park.
The focus of this Earth Day is plastic pollution. Reducing plastic pollution can extend beyond Earth Day by using fewer single-use plastic containers and straws and by recycling the plastic that is used.
