RICHMOND — The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation will hold a public meeting Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 6-7:30 p.m. in Lebanon, Va., to discuss the Clinch River State Park master plan.
The meeting will be held at the Russell County Government Center, 139 Highland Dr.
Located along the Clinch River in Southwest Virginia, the park is Virginia’s first blueway state park, or recreational water trail system. It is made up of anchor properties connected by multiple canoe and kayak access points along the scenic river.
DCR staff and consultants will present the draft master plan for the park. The master plan effort is being led by consultants from Land Planning and Design Associates under the management of Austin Brockenbrough & Associates.
Supporting the recreational needs of the community requires the community’s input. Attendees will have the opportunity to give feedback during a portion of the meeting.
