June 4, 2022. 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Take part in a nation-wide effort to clean up the Chesapeake Bay Watershed by taking to the beach to pick up all that washes up there.

The Chesapeake Bay Watershed covers parts of six states and is home to more than 18 million people (cbf.org/clean-the-bay-day). Clean the Bay Day has been a Virginia tradition for 33 years and continues to serve the vast majority of the communities throughout the state. Come do your part and give back to the waterway that does so much for you.

The park will be providing trash bags and a wagon ride down to the beach, but wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves if you have them. What we need from you is your time and energy by taking part in this effort. By the end of the day, we will have all of the trash weighed and we will be reporting it on the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's database. Please bring water and dress for the weather and the activity.

Registration is required for all volunteers. Let us know you are coming by calling the Visitor Center between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Parking fee is $5.
