Want to learn how to combine science and art? Love nature and want to learn to capture it in a creative way? The Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (CBNERR) and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) Marine Advisory Program invite you to participate in a FREE watercolor based nature journaling session at York River State Park. Scientist with CBNEER~VA and VIMS will introduce the research being done at the park, and park staff will give an overview of the cultural resources on site. Then, Anna Melhorn, William & Mary biology major and studio art minor, will lead a one hour watercolor and nature journaling session. All art supplies will be provided including two nature journaling texts. Limited registration ~ 15 participants. Must be 12 years old and older to participate.
