Take in the sounds of the Chesterfield Concert and Jazz Bands at the Heritage Amphitheater while surrounded by the beauty of Pocahontas State Park. Founded in 1997, the Chesterfield Concert and Jazz Bands are a performing arts organization in Central Virginia comprised of more than 60 diverse members that volunteer their time to rehearsals and performances. The Chesterfield Jazz Ensemble is made up of trumpets, saxophones, lower brass instruments, and a rhythm section which includes a drummer, Latin percussionist, pianist, and bass guitarist. The Jazz Ensemble also features a vocalist, and plays classic, standard, and popular Jazz selections. Gates open one hour before show time. Admission is free, but parking fees are required at all times.
