Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m., beginning Feb. 15 through April 30, per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.
Twin Rivers Canoe Adventure

Join rangers on a canoe adventure along the Dan and Staunton Rivers. During the trip guests will navigate along both rivers around the shoreline of the entire park offering a unique view of Staunton River State Park. Space is limited to 10 participants. This program is for ages 7 and older. All gear will be provided. Guests must call the park office to reserve their spot for this trip. Participants should drive to the park office to pay the fee before the program start time and then drive to the Staunton River area parking lot where they will be picked up. Guests should dress for the weather, wear water-safe/close-toed shoes, bring water, and wear sunscreen.
