Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m., beginning Feb. 15 through April 30, per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Have you ever wondered what it was like to use a bow and arrow to stalk game like early Native Americans or hit your target with a well placed arrow like Robin Hood? Here is your chance to find out. In this introduction to archery program participants will learn all about this fun and rewarding sport. Rangers will guide you through proper archery techniques within a safe, family-friendly environment. All equipment is provided, and this program is limited to participants 10 years of age and older. Guests must pre-register in person at the visitor center or by calling the park office. Space is limited to 10 participants per program. There is a $2 per person or $6 per family fee for this program.
