Make a difference in your Virginia State Parks this National Public Lands Day by volunteering at Shenandoah River State Park. Meet at 10 am at Shelter 1 in the picnic area and spend an hour or two picking up trash and cutting back vegetation on Bluebell and River trails. Refreshments will be provided at Shelter 1 by the Friends of Shenandoah River State Park. The park will provide safety equipment and tools, but bring your own gloves, safety glasses and pruning equipment if you prefer. No parking fees are charged on National Public Lands Day.
