Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Rd., Lancaster, VA 22503.
Picnic Area

Dec. 3, 2022. 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

You never know what critters you will see around Belle Isle during the colder months, there's dozens to pick from. Keep your ears and eyes open for the "honk" of a Canada Goose or a glimpse of a Tundra Swan floating along the water.

Bring your cameras and join a ranger for a brief walk on Porpoise Creek Trail, to our observation blind, and learn about the critters we see and don't see. You can also learn how to fold a napkin to look like a swan to share with friends and family during your holiday meal.
