True Art, named in the honor of the Museum's first curator, James True, features the works of today's local artist in a show that celebrates the creativity and talents of our friends and neighbors. This year’s theme is “Culture and Community.”
Adults may submit up to four pieces of artwork no larger than 11 X 14. Adults may enter a variety of mediums, such as drawings, photos, paintings, cross stitch, and sculptures are welcome, provided they fit the size requirements.
The showcase also features a children's art competition and is open to students K-12 and should portray some aspect of Southwest Virginia’s rich culture, history and/or natural surroundings. Drawings, photos, and paintings are welcome. The park request a maximum size of 8”x 11” and welcome smaller submissions.

All artworks must be submitted by Friday, February 17 by 4 p.m. The park is closed during the months of January and February. To make arrangements to drop off art, or for more information. please call the park.
