Attention all homeschoolers! Join a ranger for an afternoon of outdoor fun at High Bridge Trail! Each Thursday for the month of February we have planned an educational program just for you. Parking fees are waived for homeschool families planning to attend.

Check out the themes and their dates below:

February 2, Once Upon A Railroad: This is a 1.5 mile guided hike to take you back in time to the early days of High Bridge.

February 9, Campfire Starting 101 and S'mores Roast: Learn the basics of starting a campfire and compete with your friends to see who can build one the fastest. (For ages 12+)

February 16, Furs, Tracks, and Scat: You'll get the inside scoop on how to identify mammals and their tracks and traces they might leave behind.

February 23, Vernal Pool Critter Hunt: Vernal pools serve as temporary habitats for amphibians and macroinvertebrates, and you'll get the chance to observe some of the critters up close! This program requires roughly a mile round trip hike on uneven terrain.
