Native Birds and Bird Feeders

Where
Powhatan State Park, 4616 Powhatan State Park Rd., Powhatan, VA 23139.
Shelter 2
When
March 11, 2023. 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.
Chickadees, nuthatches, titmice, and woodpeckers can all be seen at Powhatan State Park. During this ranger-led activity, we will get to know a few of our feathered friends that can be found in the park or in your backyard. Where do they build their nests? What do they eat? You’ll find that the answers are as varied as the appearance of each of these distinctive critters. For the second half of the program, we’ll make simple pine cone feeders that provide tasty treats for our winged neighbors. Hang the feeder in your backyard, and see who comes to visit!
We will meet at Shelter 2, near the playground parking lot.
