Kayaking Tour

When

June 11, 2023. 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Experience the anticipation of seeing what lies around each "bend" of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River from a kayaker's point of view. Everything you need to enjoy a smooth three-mile paddle will be provided including kayaks, PFDs, and paddles. We recommend bringing water, a change of clothes or a towel, and wearing closed toed shoes. This program is reserved for people 10 years and above, with limited space available.

We have solo and tandem kayaks available. They will be first come first choice according to registration. However, if you would like a tandem kayak, please email megan.dellinger@dcr.virginia.gov to reserve one.

Meet at the Lupton access canoe launch. You are welcome to park in the upper lot and walk to the canoe launch if parking is not available in that area. All vehicles must display an annual or daily parking pass.
