The third Saturday of the month is when the Jones - Stewart Brick Kitchen is in operation. Alongside the demonstrations housed in the Brick Kitchen there will be a special historical demonstration.

There is a certain type of artistry involved in the creation of common (kitchen, slat-back) woven-bottom chairs. These types of furniture pieces were already a market fixture before the 1740s. From 1740-1850 there are a wide variety of chairs with ornate surface embellishments, a spectrum of finishes, paints, or stains. The price of these chairs would increase by the number of slats constructed.
